Dr. Ananya Mahapatra

Dr. Ananya Mahapatra is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 14 years of professional experience, of which 11 years are in specialist practice. She completed her MBBS from Sikkim Manipal University in 2011, followed by an MD in Psychiatry from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in 2014, and a DNB in Psychiatry from the National Board of Examinations in 2016.

Her clinical expertise spans child and adolescent psychiatry, women's mental health, addiction psychiatry, and psychotherapy. She is skilled in managing conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, insomnia, and dementia. Dr. Mahapatra has also contributed to mental health training and advocacy initiatives.

Dr. Mahapatra has held academic and clinical positions at premier government institutions, including Assistant Professor at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Specialist and Head of Department at ESIC Hospital Rohini, and Specialist Consultant at Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital. She is currently associated with Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, and Cognis Mindcare in North Delhi.

She is a recipient of several awards, including the Dr. Samuel Gershon Junior Investigator Award (2016), DST Young Investigator Travel Award (2019), Bhagwat Award (2017), Dr. Ramamurthy Foundation Fellowship (2018), and Bukshey Award (2018). She holds memberships in the Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Association of Social Psychiatry, Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and the International Association of Women's Mental Health.
