Dr. Ashish Sachan

Dr. Ashish Sachan is a Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgeon based in New Delhi. He is recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery, bariatric procedures and colorectal surgery.

He completed his MBBS at Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University in 2014. He earned his MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology/G.I. Surgery from the same institution in 2018. Dr. Sachan further trained with fellowships in hepatobiliary and liver transplant surgery at Apollo Hospital, Delhi, and in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Max Hospital, Saket and Mohak Bariatrics, Indore.

His clinical practice focuses on gallstone disease, rectal prolapse, pancreatic pseudocysts and gastrointestinal cancers. He routinely performs laparoscopic cholecystectomy, ventral mesh rectopexy, cystogastrostomy and oncologic resections. Additionally, he offers bariatric surgeries such as gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy for obesity management.

With over 15 years of surgical experience, Dr. Sachan has managed more than 1000 GI cancer and laparoscopic cases. He served as an Assistant Professor at Rajiv Gandhi Superspeciality Hospital (2018‑2020) and as a Senior Consultant at Fortis Hospital, Delhi (2020‑2023). Currently he is a Senior Consultant at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, where he consults and operates. He is a member of the Delhi Medical Council, Medical Council of India and the Association of Surgeons of India, and has received multiple fellowships awards in bariatric and GI endosurgery.
