Dr. Bela Makhija

Dr. Bela Makhija serves as the Director (Obs & Gynae) and Head of Unit-I at Max Smart Super Specialty Hospital, Saket. In this role she oversees obstetrics and gynaecology services and leads clinical teams.

She obtained her MBBS from the University of Pune in 1977 and completed her MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the same institution in 1983, additionally holding a DGO qualification. Dr. Makhija is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Delhi Medical Council, Indian Medical Association (IMA), FOGSI, AOGD, NARCHI and IAGES.

With over 49 years of overall experience, of which 43 years are dedicated to obstetrics and gynaecology, she specializes in high‑risk obstetrics, infertility evaluation and treatment, and laparoscopic surgical procedures such as laparoscopic myomectomy. Her extensive career includes consultant positions at Saket City Hospital, Batra Hospital & Research Centre, AIIMS New Delhi and the Indian Air Force, and she continues to practice at Max Smart Super Specialty Hospital, Saket.
