Dr. Charu Garg, MBBS, MD - Radiotherapy

Dr. Charu Garg is an experienced Radiation Oncologist and currently serves as Vice Chairman and Head of the Unit – Radiation Oncology at Max Healthcare. With over 24 years of overall experience and 19+ years of post-MD experience in Oncology and Radiation Oncology, she has extensive expertise in the management of a wide range of cancers, including breast, thoracic, gynaecological, paediatric, uro-oncology, musculoskeletal, head and neck, neuro, and gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers. She has a special interest in the treatment of women’s cancers, particularly breast and gynaecological malignancies. Dr. Garg is trained in advanced radiation techniques such as IMRT, IGRT, SRS for brain tumours, extracranial SBRT, and brachytherapy. She joined Max Healthcare as a Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology in 2011 and has previously worked at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre and Medanta – The Medicity. She has also received advanced training in radiation oncology techniques in Mannheim, Germany. Dr. Garg completed her MBBS from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad, and her MD in Radiation Oncology from Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI), Ahmedabad. She is an active member of several prestigious professional organisations, including ASTRO, the Indian Society of Oncology, AROI, and the Oncology Forum.
