Dr. Amita Mahajan

Dr. Amita Mahajan serves as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Sarita Vihar, Delhi. She has played a pivotal role in establishing hemato-oncology services at the hospital and brings over three decades of clinical experience to her practice.

Dr. Mahajan earned her MBBS and MD in Pediatrics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She further pursued advanced training in the United Kingdom, obtaining a fellowship (MRCP) with specialization in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology in 1996. She is a fellow member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK, and holds memberships in the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, UK Children's Cancer Study Group, and Thalassemics India Foundation.

Her clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, thalassemia, and other blood disorders. She also manages general pediatric conditions such as childhood infections, viral fevers, allergies, fractures, and nutritional concerns. Dr. Mahajan has experience in bone marrow transplantation from her tenure at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in the UK.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Mahajan worked as a consultant in pediatric oncology at Llandough Hospital, Cardiff, a regional center for pediatric oncology, and was associated with the bone marrow transplant unit at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. She is registered with the Delhi Medical Council (Registration No. 15534) and consults at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Sarita Vihar, Delhi.
