Dr. Anil Kumar Varshney

Dr. Anil Kumar Varshney is a distinguished urologist and serves as the Director of the Institute of Minimally Invasive Urology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. He also holds the position of President of the North Zone Chapter of the Urological Society of India.

He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, in 1980 and 1985 respectively. He pursued a PhD in Urology at the Research Institute of Urology, Moscow, in 1990, and has been recognized with multiple gold medals for academic excellence during his studies.

His clinical expertise covers a broad range of urological conditions such as kidney stones, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, hematuria, enlarged prostate (BPH) and pelvic prolapse. He is skilled in laparoscopic urologic surgery, ureteroscopy, vasectomy and prostate laser surgery, among other minimally invasive techniques.

With over 46 years of overall experience, including 36 years dedicated to urology, Dr. Varshney has previously worked as Medical Director at R G Stone Urology & Lap Hospital (1991‑2012) and currently practices as Director & Senior Consultant Urology at Max Pitampura. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Delhi Urological Society, American Urological Association, Society of Interventional Urology and World Endourology Society.
