Dr. Ajit Saxena

Dr. Ajit Saxena is a Senior Consultant Urologist and Andrologist with nearly four decades of experience in urological care. He currently practices at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in Sarita Vihar, Delhi.

He earned his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and his MS in General Surgery from Delhi University. Dr. Saxena further obtained FRCS from the United Kingdom and a Diploma in Urology from University College & Middlesex School of Medicine, London.

His clinical expertise includes the treatment of prostate diseases, prostate cancer, male infertility, impotence, and varicocele. He is known for pioneering bloodless vapour resection techniques for prostate disease and introducing robotic prostate surgery in India, having organized the first live robotic uro‑surgery workshop at Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi.

With 39 years of overall experience—36 years as a specialist—Dr. Saxena has served at Ganga Ram Hospital and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, and previously practiced in the UK for eight years. He holds memberships in the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, the Urology Society of India, and the Indian Andropause Society, and has received accolades such as the Japanese OISCA award for surgical excellence (1996) and the UP Ratan award (2005).
