Dr. Lata Bhat

Dr. Lata Bhat is a senior Pediatrician and Neonatologist with nearly four decades of clinical experience. She has dedicated 35 years to specialist practice, focusing on neonatal intensive care and child development.

Her academic credentials include an MBBS from the University of Delhi (1987), a Diploma in Child Health from the same university (1991), and membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) obtained in the UK in 2003. She is a member of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics and the National Neonatology Forum.

Dr. Bhat's expertise spans the management of high-risk newborns, including extremely preterm infants (25-36 weeks) and very low birth weight babies (as low as 650 grams), congenital heart disease, and complex metabolic conditions. She is proficient in all modes of neonatal ventilation and advanced newborn care technologies. Additionally, she has extensive experience in behavioural and developmental paediatrics, addressing developmental delay, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities, with further training in the UK.

Professionally, Dr. Bhat has served as Head of Neonatology at Fortis Hospital (2010-2014) and currently leads the Palak Child Development Centre in Mayur Vihar Phase-2, Delhi. She is also the Founder President of the Foundation for High Risk Babies and Child Development and Convenor of the Indian Foundation of Preterm Babies, reflecting her commitment to advocacy and care for vulnerable infants.
