Dr. Mathangi J

Dr. Mathangi J is a distinguished Radiation Oncologist and Radiologist based in Bangalore, with over 28 years of clinical experience, 20 of which are as a specialist. She currently serves as a visiting consultant and teaching faculty at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati, and practices at Oncare Cancer Care Centre in Basaveshwaranagar.

She completed her MBBS from Stanley Medical College & Hospital, Chennai in 1998, followed by a Diploma in Radio Therapy from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 2006, and a DNB in Radio Diagnosis from the National Board of Examination, India in 2009. Dr. Mathangi is a gold medalist from the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Chapter (2006).

Her clinical focus encompasses advanced radiotherapy techniques such as 4DCT, hypofractionated radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and stereotactic body ablative radiotherapy (SBRT). She has a special interest in women's cancer management, particularly breast and cervical cancers, as well as brain tumor treatment and cancer screening programmes.

Dr. Mathangi's professional journey includes roles as Senior Resident and DNB coordinator at HCG/BIO, Senior Registrar at Manipal Superspecialty Hospital, and Consultant at BGS Global Hospital. She maintains active memberships in the American Society for Therapeutic Oncology (ASTRO), European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI).
