Dr. Maithili Kamat

Dr. Maithili Kamat is a senior dermatologist, cosmetologist, and trichologist who has been in practice since 1997. She serves as a consultant dermatologist at S.L. Raheja Hospital, a Fortis associate in Mahim, Mumbai, and also consults for L'Oréal India's scientific and regulatory affairs division. Her clinical interests span general dermatology, trichology, and aesthetic procedures.

Dr. Kamat completed her MBBS in 1994 and MD in Skin Diseases in 1997, both from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion, Mumbai. She ranked first in the MD Skin examination at Mumbai University and earned a gold medal at the College of Physicians and Surgeons. She pursued one year of research in basic sciences at the University of Bern, Switzerland, with publications in international journals, and undertook a three-month fellowship in laser applications in dermatology at the Institute of Laser Medicine in Ulm, Germany.

Her areas of expertise include acne and acne scars, hair loss disorders, skin allergies, and a range of cosmetic treatments such as laser therapy, fillers, and body contouring. She has worked as a consultant dermatologist and head of medical services for Kaya Skin Clinic across India and the Middle East. Dr. Kamat is a life member of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) and a member of the Cosmetic Dermatology Society of India (CDSI).

With 29 years of overall experience and 24 years as a specialist, Dr. Kamat combines academic distinction with extensive clinical practice. She is registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council (registration number 74370) and continues to provide comprehensive dermatological care at her hospital-based clinic in Mahim.
