Dr. Chandrashekhar

Dr. Chandrashekhar is a Delhi-based cardiologist who holds the position of Associate Director at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, and also consults at Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital in Model Town, Delhi.

He completed his MBBS from Patna Medical College in 1994, followed by an MD in General Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University in 1999, and a DM in Cardiology from GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi in 2005. Dr. Chandrashekhar is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC, 2014), Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC, 2015), Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI, 2015), and Fellow of the Cardiological Society of India (FCSI). He also received academic honours in anatomy, physiology, preventive and social medicine, pharmacology, pathology and microbiology during his early years.

His clinical expertise lies in interventional cardiology, with a focus on diagnosing and managing angina pectoris, heart failure, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, and congenital heart defects such as septal defects. He is experienced in cardiac stress testing, heart consultations, and related procedures.

With over 22 years of overall experience, including 21 years as a specialist, Dr. Chandrashekhar has held senior residency positions at GTB Hospital and University College of Medical Sciences, a post-DM residency at GB Pant Hospital, and served as an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre. He has worked as a consultant cardiologist at Sunder Lal Jain Hospital and is an active member of the Cardiological Society of India. His accolades include multiple fellowships and academic awards reflecting his commitment to cardiovascular care.
