Dr. Nripendra Kumar

Dr. Nripendra Kumar is a consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist practicing in Delhi since 2011. He currently heads several specialized clinics at KIEMHANS, including Schizophrenia Recovery Clinic, Mood Disorder Clinic, OCD and Anxiety Disorder Clinic, Tobacco Cessation Clinic, De-addiction Clinic, Sleep Disorder Clinic, and Headache Clinic. He works with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, de-addiction counsellors, cognitive behaviour therapists, and family therapists.

He completed his MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College in 2007 and MD in Psychiatry from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2014. He is registered with the Delhi Medical Council (Registration No. 4008). He holds memberships in the Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Association of Private Psychiatry, Indian Association of Biological Psychiatry, Indian Association of Social Psychiatry, and North-West Psychiatry Forum, Delhi.

His clinical expertise encompasses schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, tobacco, alcohol, and other substance addictions, child and adolescent psychiatric disorders, neuro-modulation therapies, and psychotherapy. He also manages migraine, sleep disorders, and psychosomatic conditions.

Dr. Kumar has served as a psychiatrist at AIIMS, Delhi (2011-2014), Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at CIMBS, Delhi (2014-2016), and as Director & Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at KIEMHANS, Delhi (2016-2020). He continues to practice at KIEMHANS, Azadpur, Delhi, offering comprehensive mental health care.
