Dr. Usha Maurya Kumar

Dr. Usha Maurya Kumar is a distinguished gynecologist and obstetrician with over 38 years of medical experience, including 32 years as a specialist. She currently serves as the Director of Progeny and practices as a senior consultant at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital in Saket, Delhi. Her expertise lies in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, with a particular focus on infertility management and gynecological oncology.

Dr. Kumar obtained her MBBS and MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from G R Medical College, Gwalior, in 1988 and 1992 respectively. She further earned the MRCOG qualification from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, in 2007. During her MRCOG training, she worked in the reproductive unit at the University of Sheffield and Whipps Cross Hospital, London. She also holds a diploma in advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopic surgery from Germany, trained under renowned surgeons.

Her clinical interests encompass a wide range of conditions including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, gynecological cancers, and high-risk pregnancies. She is proficient in fertility-conserving procedures, gynecological endoscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, and myomectomy. Dr. Kumar has contributed numerous national and international publications and is a regular speaker at conferences and television health programs.

Dr. Kumar is a member of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and is registered with the Delhi Medical Council. She has previously served as a consultant at Saket City Hospital and founded Progeny India.
