Dr. Virbhan Balai

Dr. Virbhan Balai is an interventional cardiologist with over fifteen years of dedicated practice in the field of cardiology. He is recognized for his expertise in complex coronary interventions and structural heart procedures. Currently, he provides care at Manipal Hospital located in Dwarka Sector 6, Delhi.

He obtained his MBBS from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, followed by an MD in General Medicine from PGIMER & Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Balai then completed a DNB in Cardiology at the National Heart Institute, New Delhi, and pursued further training in interventional cardiology with an FNB from Max Super Specialty Hospital, Delhi.

His clinical practice focuses on advanced interventional techniques including Impella support, optical coherence tomography (OCT), transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), intravascular lithotripsy (IVL), tricuspid valve interventions, and intra‑aortic balloon pump (IABP) therapy. He also performs procedures such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), instantaneous wave‑free ratio (iFR), orbital atherectomy and other coronary angiographic assessments.
